Bio360 Europe will take place in Nantes, France, in February 2026, serving as a global meeting point for the Bio-transition. The event will bring together innovators, policymakers, researchers, and industry leaders to accelerate bioenergy and circular bioeconomy solutions with real-world impact.
At this year’s event, the Circular Bioeconomy and Environment Network (CBEN) is teaming up with Carbon Standards International to highlight shared partnerships and pathways to strengthen the integrity, credibility, and visibility of African biochar initiatives within the global bio-renewables landscape.
CBEN convenes actors across the circular bioeconomy—from waste producers and nutrient managers to farmer-facing enterprises, researchers, NGOs, and policymakers and works to bridge nutrient supply and demand, advance capacity building, and support policies that accelerate circular nutrient and biochar solutions.
Carbon Standards International plays a critical role in safeguarding the credibility of biochar-based carbon removal, one of the key recoveries from the CBEN network members and even beyond. Through robust biochar carbon removal verification frameworks, testing protocols, and quality assurance systems, Carbon Standards International ensures that biochar produced by CBEN partners meets high-integrity standards. At Bio360 Europe, Carbon Standards International will showcase its tools and standards to strengthen confidence among both established and emerging biochar producers.
The CBEN Pavilion at Bio360 Europe
With the support of Carbon Standards International , CBEN will host a dedicated pavilion at Bio360 Europe, strategically located between the IBI and European Biochar booths. The pavilion will be open for shared discussions, and showcase materials to highlight East African biochar innovations, inclusive business models, and cross-sector collaboration. The space will, serve as a hub for storytelling, networking, and partnership building—from smallholder systems to scalable enterprises.
A Shared Commitment to Climate-Credible Impact
For Carbon Standards International , supporting CBEN’s presence at Bio360 Europe strengthens its direct engagement with global biochar markets and reinforces its commitment to credible, high-integrity carbon removal. For CBEN, the partnership and participation expand access to potential global members with a strong focus on circularity and sustainable bioeconomy solutions.
Together, CBEN and the later are advancing reliable systems, standards, and digital tools for certified biochar production and climate-credible carbon sinks—demonstrating how collaboration can translate the promise of the Bio-transition into measurable impact.
